I’ve now seen this in two places and I still can’t believe it, but according to rumourMatt Damon(the one who has talent) andBen Affleck(the one who is married to someone gorgeous) have openly talked about a remake of the classicButch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Perhaps in some way they think of themselves as the modern dayPaul NewmanandRobert Redford? Well I know what I think of that, and it’s far from positive.
However, even withDigital Spycarrying the story today and a story last week sometime from Cinematical, I can’t see this as much more than an offhand comment or one of those reporter suggested quotes. You know where the reporter says “wouldn’t it be cool if…” and the stars say “hadn’t thought about that, but it does sound…”. Could you see this happening, much less working?

I would not call this a remake, Richard. It may just be another take on the historical characters. Well, actually I call this a pipe dream. Does Jen Garner play the Katherine Ross part?
